Course description:

The course program is built in such a way as to fully analyze the issues of surgery of the proximal femur in children in 2 full days.

The relevance of the knowledge presented in the course is based on the extensive practical experience of lecturers gained in the leading institutions of the country.

The cycle will be held in the format of discussions, lectures, as well as practicing practical skills on cadaver material and plastic models.

The structure of the cycle is divided into the following main scientific and practical modules:

Fundamentals of anatomy and biomechanics of the hip joint;
Safe surgical dislocation technique;
The main types of corrective osteotomies and indications for them;
Intramedullary osteosynthesis of the femur in various pathological conditions;
Fundamentals of pathogenetic and biomechanical approaches to Dunn and Femoral head reduction osteotomy operations;
Hardware techniques for correction and fixation of the proximal femur;
Principles of rational osteosynthesis. Features of patient management tactics depending on the type of osteosynthesis.

For the most effective training process, we recruit groups of no more than 16 people (3-4 people per cadaver rack).
